A mechanical or electrical system that involves velocities close enough to the speed of light to require the formulas of relativistic mechanics is said to be �relativistic.' If the velocities involved in the system are far enough sub-light to be approximated by Newtonian mechanics, then the system is said to be �non-relativistic.'
