A chatterbot or chat-roboter is a program, that chats within a chat-channel automatically with the user (the chatter). This program reacts to the chatters input by providing sentences, questions or answers that fits more or less to the given phrases. Chatterbots are specialized on a special topic and normally it is quite easy to figure out that one is chatting with a chatterbot. The reason for this kind of programs is to keep chatters in the channel even if there is no real chatter available.
